Yuletide 2024

You can find me on Ao3 as [archiveofourown.org profile] spikedcoffee

LIKES:
Loyalty kink, hand kink, age gaps, villains being terrible to other people while in love with each other, alternate PoVs, outsider PoVs, power imbalance, relationship vignettes, missing scenes.

(Also, if you get the vibe from my requested fandoms that I like pretty guys suffering because of their messy relationships with older men, you'd be entirely correct. I'm always 100% up for reading about the difficulties of their love!)

NSFW LIKES:
Bondage, oral fixation, dirty talk, size difference, being so desperate for sex they don't bother taking clothes all the way off, praise kink.

DNWS:
Unrequested character death, graphic descriptions of violence, 2nd person PoV, unrequested AUs, unrequested crossovers, unrequested ships involving the requested characters, daddy kink, PiV sex involving trans characters, scat, non-canon substance abuse, lapslock.

➤ 5 ELEMENTS NINJAS

Mudou/Kuwada
Hear me out: How come that a samurai so honorable that he's willing to commit suicide after losing a duel has a matching poison ring with the king of the ninjas? And apparently knows him well enough to write him a letter before killing himself? Both Mudou and Kuwada are barely characters due to the nature of the film, so this is your chance to go wild —I want to read all of your ideas about how they met, the kind of relationship they had, etc.

  • Bondage! Mudou clearly knows how to tie people up and Kuwada presumably does (as it was once customary to tie prisoners in Japan), let them have some fun with it.
  • How did Kuwada get the ring? Is it their version of an engagement/promise ring?
  • Like I said above, I would love to read literally any idea you have about how they met!

FLY ME TO THE SAITAMA

Akutsu Sho/Dannoura Kenzo
I see this as the logical conclusion of Sho being willing to do pretty much anything for the sake of Chiba, including sleeping with people, having worked for years for the Dannouras, and Kenzo pushing him more and more out of his comfort zone — just Sho ending up in a very messy relationship that he can’t quit. I like all the power imbalance the ship comes with and the potential for seduction/coercion, but I’m also open for a more tragic take where they have something genuine that comes apart by the time the movie takes place.

  • Sho is the pretty new butler who says that he will do anything for Chiba, so of course Kenzo decides to test whether he actually means anything.
  • Part of the reason Sho dislikes Rei at the beginning is because he can’t help but compare Rei's relationship with Momomi with his with Kenzo, and how Rei seems to be on track not only to help Saitama, but also get his man.
  • A younger Sho is dazzled by Kenzo and life in Tokyo and develops a crush on Kenzo.
  • Rei and Momomi need just a little more time to make it to Tokyo with the armies, so Sho sets out to keep Kenzo busy the way he's always done.

JAPANESE LOCAL HEROES

Shuraomaru/Tiefedorf
The main shows where they appear together are the Sapporo and Kitakyushu shows (in that order). I think they're pretty self-explanatory, but if you want some more backstory, you can watch the origin show of Shuraomaru here and the origin show of Tiefedorf here.

As an additional note, I'm not putting the entirety of "Dogengers" as a DNW because the finer details of how and where continuities are separate have required a bunch of additional material to understand for a while and my intention is not to be anal about it, but I'm not particularly fond of the television show and I'd greatly appreciate if you kept specific references to it (outside of the broad strokes of Requiem's existence, of course) out of any gift/treat for this fandom.

  • They have a long distance relationship due to their busy schedule, one occasionally shows up to steal the other away from his responsibilities.
  • Outsider POV, they keep showing up to fights with clear signs of having been in the middle of something.
  • Either Shuraomaru (as an immortal creature of unknown origin) or Tiefedorf (as a former god) having a different concept of love/relationships and it leads to a misunderstanding of where they stand.
  • Tiefedorf is used to be the dominant partner in his relationships and so he approaches seducing Shuraomaru that way, only to be floored by how effortlessly Shuraomaru takes charge.
  • I would like something exploring the fact that they're not human and therefore their concerns and limits are on a complete different level (for example, the idea that killing each other is romantic to them because Shuraomaru will just come back regardless).

➤ SHURAOMARU GAIDEN: ANTOU ENBUDEN

Shuraomaru/Chojiro
The quality of the subs is... questionable, but the show is available with english subs here.

I love this interpretation of Shuraomaru and the way he allows himself to openly care for others because he hasn't gone through the same tragedy as the Shuraomaru of the main story - and how differently he approaches the loss of someone dear to him.
  • Shuraomaru as Chojiro's first crush. Did Shuraomaru turn him down gently, telling him that he was confusing gratitude with love? Did Shuraomaru eventually give in? Did Chojiro die before he could tell him?
  • In the present, Shuraomaru tries his best to live life to the fullest, but his mind always keeps wandering back to Chojiro.
  • Shuraomaru is tempted to approach Tanaka, but Tanaka seems to be doing pretty well and Shuraomaru always concludes that it would be selfish to intrude in his life just because he missed Chojiro.
